New GPS in Town:
There is a very cool GPS module that is starting to show up in UAV discussions. It is the ETek EB-85A. The interesting thing is that it has 5Hz updates when configured for 38.4K baud operation! That allows for exceptional realtime operation. Sparkfun has them for about $100. However, if there was interest, I could do a group buy. With luck, I think I could offer them for $80 + shipping.
I have not used one, so I don't know much about it (but a forum member is trying one out). To help with questions, attached is the EB-85A data sheet.

Personally I have started using this GPS (purchased from Sparkfun), but I have a couple of flying buddies who might be interested at the $80 price.I might be able to offer more EM-411's. Is there any interest?

Anyone else interested in the proposed EB-85A group buy? At this point, it is a no-go (chime in to convince me otherwise).

That's a good question. There isn't a formal warranty, but I am fair. If you are used to working with delicate electronics, and use care, I don't expect you will have any troubles. But, because they are used in the buyer's custom project, they can be damaged by their wiring or DC power mistakes. If a person kills one due to their mistake, and insist that I exchange it, then it comes out of my pocket. So far that has not happened, thank goodness. How is the warranty for this module?
I believe Paypal will accept VISA. US postal Global Express (EMS) shipping to Sri Lanka is approximately $20 (lower cost Priority shipping is not available to that country).I want to pay using my VISA card and also I would like to now what is your shipping method to Sri Lanka and cost?

That shipping cost is little bit high, but my company has small branch in the Minnesota, and usually we have shipment every Friday to Sri Lanka.
So, how much would be the shipping cost to Minneapolis - Minnesota, and give me instruction how should I place an order for EM 411 unite. (Using VISA card)

does anybody knows if this module can be set and left in WAAS mode, even after a shut down, or reset, without the need to be connected to a PC for re-programming ?
