I hope so... I've been spammin.... errr posting... yeah thats it... posting this vid in a bunch of different forums...

So I thought why not here...

Video of my just completed... highly modified... Kyosho Blizzard...

Don't mind some of the comments in the vid...

...they are there for folks that might not know much about FPV...
since I also post about this machine on a Snowcat forum...
not many folks there doing FPV...
... and there is a little surprise a few minutes into the vid...

Sorry it's so long... I tried to make it interesting....

Nice job!
Love the gyro, kills all the normal shake that ground vehicles normally suffer with. What gyro/servo are you using?

Terry, the tilt servos are HK939mg and the gyro is an old GWS PG-01NP... that I had laying around.

Ya I'm liking the gyro on the tilt... but it's a little weird at first. Also going fast over rough terrain it really gets a workout.
I may need to turn down the gain. I just set gain at half and drove, didn't try to tweak it at all.

Contrast the Blizz vid.... with this one with no gyro... and "sorta" the same setup...

I've been having alot of fun with a Traxxas Slash set up with a 500mW 1.2ghz video system. Using stock whip on the Vtx and an optimezed 8dbi patch on the Vrx. I'm amazed at the video clarity I get out past 600 feet, even with small trees and a small building in the way! I usually just set the patch on the ground, leaning up against my "groundstation" (Cardboard box...heh). It works, but now I'm looking into building my own SPW for the Vtx and Crosshair for the Vrx. Hopefully they will improve video quality AND range.

I'm using my Futaba 9C airplane transmitter for control, with a Corona 72mhz synthesized Rx. Awesome range!
