it is me flying remotely, many prople tried this out today using my wing,
they all said WOW and cool, and where to buy and so on.

I also tried to add a 10dB attenuator on the TX, so I changed the TX power from 500mW to 50mW and WOW the GPS got much better, more sats and faster lock,
so my 24dB GPS filter is not good enought, I will fix that also.

The range on the video is only slightly redused, no real issue, since I can not fly futher away that 300m in each direction, else I brake the range of my RC and gets flips and such, I know the RC RX is not too good. will fix it another day.

I will try to limit the power to 10mW and see how much fun that is, and compare it to 500mW, sorry I forgot my recorder, so no video clips from today.

Nice to see you in the low power gang Thomas, some of us spend most of our time on 10mW

looks coll Kilrah ! the plane is an Avistar right ?
Yes Terry, 10mW is possible to use, if RX has a good patch antenna,
maybe you dont need to fly that far away ? the 10mW is ok,
at the 50mW test I did we could see more drop-outs - but only when plane was far away and down in the horizon. I will lent my way to another attenuator,
and make demo flighs using 10mW 50mW and 500mW and I will try to make the flights as same as possible, to demo the small change in performance, but huge change in margin to trouble.

The plane is a Graupner Trainer 300, one of these countless trainers. was upgraded from 4cm3 to 6 for the occasion

It was my first airplane BTW

No not far with 10mW, I use it for up to 1/4 mile but have done 1/2 mile with it, after that its not so good.

yes it is a good site we have, a shack with mains, heat, tables, tools, spareparts, glue, tape, 14V and 150A constantly both inside and outside available.
we can solder, and saw and fix stuff right there.
I only live 5mins away so it is not a big problem for me, but some other dudes live 1hr away so it is good to have a lot of stuff there.

We also have a refigirator and coffemachine in a really small kitchen,
but it is fine, somethime we also barbeque with our family, once a month.

We drive miles here not kilometres I don't remember agreeing to anything

Yep thats a fantastic place you got there, I don't think I would go home until the weather got bad
