Hey,
I watched many video's of planes with fpv and found it interesting. I already own a Hobbyzone Supercub and am able to fly it well and do loops, stalls and other other manuvers. Now, I would like to get a new plane for fpv but have a few questions. My supercub was RTF but I would like to get an ARF plane. I am tight on budget and have a few questions about it:

1.) I earlier wanted to buy a parkzone f4u corsair but now don't think it would be the greatest plane for fpv. I am leaning towards the Electric Easy Glider since it had positive reviews for fpv. But I am not entirely sure on whether it will be a good plane for me. Would it be a good plane to fly in an area that has frequent winds of 10mph or is there a better alternative?

2.) I will need a new radio and am thinking about getting either the dx5e or the dx6i. What are the advantages of the dx6i over the dx5e and is it worth the extra $100? Also what range would I get with these radios? Would I be able to get a range of atleast 1 mile with those radios and the recievers that come with it?

3.) I have not flown with lipo's and don't know much about them. Will the lipo batteries potentiatlly be able to give me 30-60 min of flight time? Also when I looked at the parkzone f4u corsair, the 3 cell 2200mAh lipo's for it on the parkzone website costs $70 but why does another lipo company, not related to parkzone, have it for $20? Would any lipo's be compatible with the plane if there is room or do I need to get special ones?

4.) The radios I want to get are 2.4ghz but would I be able to get 2.4ghz video rx/tx or will I need a different frequency? If I will need a different one then does anyone know what the best one for the price would be that will give me at least a 1 mile range?

It will fly in 10mph winds ok but will need a bit of ballast, maybe more batteries.

Yes 30 min plus is possable.
There are many reasons for the price difference, the cheap ones may have less than there stated capacity, they may not deliver such high discharge rates, they may be heavier, they may not do as many charge/discharge cycles. With the best batteries you have piece of mind but pay for it, the choice is yours.

You will need a different frequency. What country are you in ?

the DX6i is well worth the added money
its fully programmable, I suppose you might need it depending on what you'll want to do.
the DX5e simply isnt. if you need just a controller the DX5e works,tho.

about the range, 2.4ghz systems are "line of sight" aka you go behind a big wall => signal lost.
depending on the receiver you can expect from 500 feet to 2 mile range max. but don't rely on that, of course. the recommended operating range is like 300 feet I believe. I'm not sure, but I think also that the DX7 has more power than the DX5e/DX6i, also the US version emit more power than EU version and thus probably have a bit more range. I'm not specialist.
