[Mr.RC-Cam]

TI announced today that it is purchasing National Semiconductors. If you own National stock then your $14 shares are now worth $25 each. For the rest of us, well I can't imagine the merger is going to be a great thing in the long haul. But we shall see.

Poor Bob Pease, I'm sure he is not pleased. Who is Bob? Well, for starters he is the guy that was the namesake inspiration for the "Floobydust" in this forum's title. He is a recently retired National Semi employee that wrote a whimsical magazine column for them. And he designed OPAMPs since the days when transistors were vacuum tubes.
