Attention: RC-CAM.com will be closing down August 2021.

The RC-Cam.com forum was the very first online community dedicated to the advancement of wireless video cameras on radio controlled (R/C) models. This is now called "FPV" (First Person View). We are proud of the contributions that our members have made to the FPV hobby.

We've seen significant changes over the last twenty years. Initially there were a lot of eager R/C hobbyist that built their own video systems. Allowing these creative individuals to share their work was the purpose of this site. Now the FPV market is flooded with low cost systems; Sadly DiY FPV video projects are now rarely discussed.

RC-CAM.com (main site and forum) will be closing down August 2021. This is being announced now (March 2021) so that everyone has time to download any information that is important to them. After the site is shutdown the information will no longer be available here.

We appreciate every member's involvement with advancing the FPV hobby. It is indeed sad to say goodbye to all our online friends. Be safe and stay healthy.

  1. LOL I live in Brazil, and the places we fly are very far away from anything.
  2. Hello guys, I am searching for some info on which downlink frequency to use on my quad, since its not a big area, things get very close to each other, right now I am using a futaba 2,4GHz to control the quad, and I was thinking on 1,2GHz or 900MHz to the video stream, I heard that the 1,2Ghz create harmonics on 2,4GHz, but the lawmate 1,2GHz 500mW has a channel one set to 1080 (btw, I am not in the USA, so I can use any of the channels). Thanks in Advance, Tony

  5. Hi Guys, I just got my new dx-201 camera from RV, the image is great, the case is heavy, and I think we have a bit of a lack of documentation. first of all, changing the original case to the metal case, its a bit scary, you have to expose the CCD sensor... and its a 150 bucks camera.... then you have to figure out the power source polarity on your own, nothing on the manual. and now I was thinking about setting up the camera, but, guess what? It came without the control battery, I am not sure on which one to use on it, because its not on the documentation either. The mount for

  8. Guys, I have ordered an AWM612tx and a AWM623rx a long long time ago, and only now I had time to assemble them together.... I have modified a version made by JBVM Delemarre(passed away on 22 December 2005): http://www.delemarre.ciscon.nl/id49.htm I have the PCBs for it, if anyone is interested, here is attached a picture, but I can send the real files so you can print it.... I also have the pictures of them assembled, I will send it later... Best Regards, Tony

  10. I've seen some cheap 2D HMDs for sale at: http://www.mp3playerstore.com/ They go for $180 (innovatek v190) and $250 (innovatek v490). You can see the specs at the website. I was wondering if anyone has purchased these glasses and if they are any good. For the specs on the site, they sound decent enough to watch a movie or play a game (optional PS2 connector). If anyone has used these or seen a review, please post. Thanks in advance, Tony

  13. Hey guys, I'm getting my Airwave system together, and I'm worried about the Lipo Cells, I wanna use a 2s1p 800mA pack for the TX and Cam. But we should have some kind of voltage watch, so we can't mess up the batteries right?? for how long would my battery hold a Airwave 612 RF Transmitter + a cam working?? Thanks, Tony --------------------------------------------------------------------- To fly is an option, land ain't....
