Attention: RC-CAM.com will be closing down August 2021.

The RC-Cam.com forum was the very first online community dedicated to the advancement of wireless video cameras on radio controlled (R/C) models. This is now called "FPV" (First Person View). We are proud of the contributions that our members have made to the FPV hobby.

We've seen significant changes over the last twenty years. Initially there were a lot of eager R/C hobbyist that built their own video systems. Allowing these creative individuals to share their work was the purpose of this site. Now the FPV market is flooded with low cost systems; Sadly DiY FPV video projects are now rarely discussed.

RC-CAM.com (main site and forum) will be closing down August 2021. This is being announced now (March 2021) so that everyone has time to download any information that is important to them. After the site is shutdown the information will no longer be available here.

We appreciate every member's involvement with advancing the FPV hobby. It is indeed sad to say goodbye to all our online friends. Be safe and stay healthy.

  1. my crystal ball is telling me that digital video downlinks could be available this year. On what modulation this one will work, FHSS,COFDM? Sibi
  2. Brilliant video! Thanks for sharing. Can you give me additional information about the Gopro mod? How did you manage to get the video live out working without connecting the usb cable? (I saw your post back in RC-Groups therefore I know about it:P) I'm really tired of waiting for the new Gopro firmware to be released. regards, Sibi
  3. Hi Doofer, my personal record was ~300m but I wasn't pushing and there is plenty of meters left to go, for sure. A friend of mine has shown me a video of his recent flights, and it shows a Dragon OSD with a height of 1.2km. We both use this system: http://www.immersionsflug.de/index.php?a=84 2 x 8dBi Patch from Hyperlinktech and Oracle diversity on the RX side. One antenna pointed to the sky directly and one parallel to the ground. hope this helps. regards, Sibi
  4. Brilliant! This is exactly what I was hoping to hear So'll wait for next year Thanks, Sibi
  5. Hello there, i was thinking of putting a 4way diversity system together from 3 Oracle systems. Obviously, 2 oracles for 4 patch antennas and the third oracle for pipeing the two singals into one. Ok, but this will bring much more cables and other problems to my ground station. So my question is: Mr.RC-Cam will there be any new Oracle system in the future that will cover a 4-way diversity system? Lets say the Oracle version II. I dream of a slighty bigger Oracle box with 4 video inputs and 1 video out (also, a second buffered video out). Any info (or project kick off), will be greatl
  6. Ivan, - you can also twist 2 servo kabel together to make an twisted pair cable -->http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twisted_pair (this helped for me) - place the ferrite rings as close to the rc rx as possible - keep the aluminium around the twisted cable hth Sibi
  7. maybe this was a fake offer to attract people, especially the FPV community?
  8. Dear group, will a lens with M12x0,5 will fit on a KX-131? Sorry, I have no device to meassure it... thanks, Sibi
  9. Hi, i've accidentally connected an AWM630 on my home made PCB's to 7.4V and didn't notice. Works well without getting the chip overheaded. A couple of weeks later i've checked the volatage and found out about it. Replaced the LM2931CM and voltage was down to 5V. There was no difference in the picture or transmission range, when operating at 7V. regards, Sibi
  10. Hi Terry, i have the same receiver, got it for 10 bucks on a flea market. It was still in its package and as i remember it should be from ZTV (ZT 707). Hope this helps, Sibi
  11. Dear group, i've browsed recently on this site which (re)sells KPC board camera's. They seem to sell camera's which have different name tag than the same cameras sold on the KPC website. That's quite confusing. For example the KPC-EX700CHB (new version of KPC-EX700CHB?) is nowhere listed/sold on the KPC website. If you compare the price and the size, the KPC-EX700CHB could be a cased version of the ACE-EX110CH aka KPC-650CH. But, the first part is just guessing. To get to the point, my questions are the following: 1. Why is the KPC catalogue of board cameras so limited compare
  12. Hello Thomas, have a look here: http://www.eagletreesystems.com/Plane/plane.html also here: http://www.eagletreesystems.com/Plane/7.htm this might be a ( bit expensive) solution. never tried it though... Sibi
  13. Hi JMS, actually iam facing the same problem... Which camera to buy? There is a quite informative thread about cameras: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=631723 but still leaves to me a lot of open questions... Anyway, i remember Sergio00 run a 480TVL camera on his videos. The camera did perform actually pretty well. So i would definitly go for that camera :-) Hej, Sergio can you post the link to your 480TVL camera? Is it this one?: http://store.pcsurveillance.net/KPC_S700CH...kpc-s700chb.htm regards, Sibi
  14. Hi Waves, actually there are two companies to look out for, since emagin has raised their prices for the Z800: http://tdvision.com/ here is a video: http://video.i4u.com/index.php?url=TDVisio...20Video.mov&p=1 The second company: http://www.headplay.com/ the video: http://www.demo.com/demonstrators/demo2006...6fall/79821.php Both units come without headtracker. Hope this helps, regards Sibi
