  1. Thank you! It's sounds like the chip has several inverters. So I can use four of them doubling up 2 and 2 from a single chip? Now I just need to figure out the pins.......
  2. I already have the controller, and it is a nice looking device! Why? I want a diversity receiver that can easily be tuned to any 2.4 transmitter. And Yeah, because it will look nice I'm going with lawmate as I do need the smaller form factor for my purchased case! I have a RSSI diversity board ready for mounting. I only need to resolve this last issue, and I be golden!
  3. Ok I'm moving ahead. I emailed the vender about connecting 2 receivers to the Lcd Freq controller and this was his response: "Hi, I check and you can't connect the simply parallel you need to do some more work. One receiver should go direct to the SCL and SDA of the tuner module the second one should go through NON--INVERTING buffers, output of the buffers go to the second tuners SCL and SDA pins" Can anyone spell that procedure out for me with appropiate parts? I'm a great assembler, but I have no engineering skills. Do I use some type of chip for that job, and do I need separate buffers for both SCL, SDA lines? I don't know anything about buffering, but I can build it If instructed how.
  4. I'll try to record waht I am seeing in the glasses soon. I tried again and I'll try to describe better what I see. There are no lines or static, but rather a clear picture, and the dark areas of the view seem to rapidly pulse in brightness. The brighter areas seem to be fine. in other words, the whole view does not pulse? only parts of the image. Example: If doing the test with the camera inside the house and pointed outside towards a window, the view throught the window would be ok and the darker part around the window pulses. Thoughts: Replace anyone of the 3 parts ( googles, camera, or Monitor) and everything is great. I'm using the most popular stuff, and no one else has reported the issue, therefore it should not be a compatability issue? It will be much cheaper to start eliminating parts rather than buy a scope. Which part would you replace first, TX. RX, Googles, Camera? As noted they all work fine with just one part eliminated?
  5. No Scope! I'm really not sure what to do other than rebuy everything. I feel there is a fair chance that The problem may not go away even if I did this!
  6. Ok, Next issue. I was testing my 500mw 2.4 system today with odd results. When viewing through new 545 video glasses I'm getting a strobe effect. It's a fast flickering of the brightness thats at it's worst with a scene of both of dark and bright areas. Only parts of the view flicker. This is with a 131kx, Lawmate 2.4 500mw TX, lawmate receiver and the glasses. My troubleshooting results: Replaced googles with both a lcd, and crt and it did NOT strobe. If I replace the camera with a DVD feed, the tx / rx / glasses do NOT strobe. If I hook the camera directly to the glasses there is NO strobe??????? Used a video spliter/ amp, and adjusted levels with no improvment. It's the combo of all 4 items in the chain. I'm very fustrated after a long day with bad results from my efforts! I can't pin the problem to any one part of the system. Any thoughts on this one? I have hit a wall!

  9. Thanks for those thoughts. Could I also ask what are the exact dimentions of Oracle system board? I have thoughts of intergrating it into my receiver. I'm guessing the prospect of obtaining one of these without the RCA connections pre soldered would be low! All other comments about this project are very welcome! Don't be shy!
  10. I'm in the process of assembling a "Super Receiver". I'm recasing one, perhaps even two lawmate receivers into a larger instrument case, and adding a LCD digital frequency controller board. This lcd controller was meant to be used with Comtech receivers, and the intructions state that the receiver's original freq control PIC must be removed or damage may result. The Pic is identified and socketed on the Comtech unit, but the lawmate will be trickier. Thomas has interior pics of the Lawmate Receiver on this page. http://www.webx.dk/rc/video-wireless/video.htm I believe the Processor in question is located on a subboard which is on the underside of the lawmate? Is this right? Does it control more then freq selection on the lawmate? Should I remove the entire subboard or just cut the connections @ the processor? What if I were to break the connections between the SDA and SCL pins from the module to the main board? Would that work just as well? Next issue: Could I run the SDA, and SCL lines from the LCD controller to the proper module pins on TWO different receivers, so that a diveristy system could be implimented? Thanks!
  11. I really like the circuit board route as i'd want to convert the joystick suggested by Wallaguest. Perhaps both could be offered?
  12. I'm interested. What is the ETA and price range on this puppy? I'm guessing that just using a USB port on the device is not a option due to the need for external trims? The plug and play factor would be great if it were possible.
  13. I'm sure this has been covered, but i understand that the Futabas generally transmit well below the legal limit. Is it possible to "Turn Up" the output to the full legal limit without a scope?
