Attention: RC-CAM.com will be closing down August 2021.

The RC-Cam.com forum was the very first online community dedicated to the advancement of wireless video cameras on radio controlled (R/C) models. This is now called "FPV" (First Person View). We are proud of the contributions that our members have made to the FPV hobby.

We've seen significant changes over the last twenty years. Initially there were a lot of eager R/C hobbyist that built their own video systems. Allowing these creative individuals to share their work was the purpose of this site. Now the FPV market is flooded with low cost systems; Sadly DiY FPV video projects are now rarely discussed.

RC-CAM.com (main site and forum) will be closing down August 2021. This is being announced now (March 2021) so that everyone has time to download any information that is important to them. After the site is shutdown the information will no longer be available here.

We appreciate every member's involvement with advancing the FPV hobby. It is indeed sad to say goodbye to all our online friends. Be safe and stay healthy.

  1. Yes that's true. I forgot about the auto pilot. With this function you don't need the RSSI signal, of course. Geko
  2. oops sorry so it was a different OSD... Hmm but it would be the best thing for flying. You could fly quite far away because you always know how strong the singal is... So you haven't had problemes with distance flying? Geko
  3. Another Question: You got the strength of the RSSI Signal in your OSD. How did you do that? Have you got a receiver how is able to send the RSSI signal to a Servo port? Or have you done it different? Geko
  4. Thanks a lot for this great instruction. I'll give it a try as soon I find some free time. In Germany I found a company who is doing such kind of boards but it cost a lot (only the first time) and the it's getting cheaper. http://www.precoplat.com/si_tpl/procurement06.php?js=1 Cheers Geko
  5. How much did you pay for etching this board? ERDIT: What kind of tools did you use? Cheers Geko
  6. hmm ok thanks. So I gone buy one on ebay (or for the swiss people ricardo.ch ) Geko
  7. Are there big differences among the mini-DV cameras for recording over an AV input? Is the quality almost the same? Cheers, Geko
  8. Yeah why not would be quite funny Yes I was lucky indeed! And they were very friendly and kind. It was a funny day! Geko
  9. Great Videos! One of my FPV flight wasn't so successful. See what happened: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/738657/ Cheers Andy
  10. I got a question but I'm not sure if somebody already asked it. So i give it a try: Is it possible (in the future) to program an autopilot who is flying the plane home? If you lost signal that would be great until I got the signal back and gain control over the plane again. Cheers Geko
  11. Thx! So perhaps I will buy me the new version (if any exist). But First i have to try it with VirtualDub and the I will see... Thx Geko
  12. In which resolution do you record? 640x480? And what kind of USB adapter is it? I got one too but the quality of recording is quite bad (my feeling)! Cheers Andy
  13. Hello I would like to know what kind of AV-Recorder you use to record the cam signal from your plane or what ever? cheers Andy
  14. yeah this vid is great. I received it today! I will buy one as soon as i get one Cheers Geko
