Another little one...
galaxiex replied to Kilrah's topic in R/C Telemetry, FPV, RPV, and UAV Projects
Awesome Kilrah! As soon as I saw that Sbach I just knew someone would FPV it. -
Well I offically have too many hobbies.... ...a bit off topic here... but thought I'd post anyway incase anyone is wondering what's happening with this... I have all the parts I need to start this project... ....but one of the other things I do is play guitar in a band.... ....and since we have a gig coming up... ....I've been doing nothing but practice/rehearse. I also got the RockSmith guitar game and let me tell you.... what an addictive thing that is! RockSmith lets you plug in a real guitar to your game console, or a PC, and is VERY fun/educational. Someone that has never

Thanks Still waiting for my stuff to show up.... EagleTree sensor came... but nothing else yet... I seem to be having an issue with my postal service and/or letter carrier... there is some kind of "attitude" going on.... My letter carrier left me a nasty note about clearing the snow from my walk... which I do... But I'm the only one living here... and if it snows heavy during the day while I'm at work... like it did the other day....there is not much I can do 'til I get home... Besides, our city bylaw states that I have 48 hours AFTER the snowfall STOPS, to get the walks cleared. S

The fancy display would be cool... could make a neat "analog" looking "speed-o-meter"......but I'm inclined to agree with Mr.RC-Cam. The simple 2 line display will likely be easier for me to muck around with at first. Don't forget, I'm a complete noob at arduino... I just got my arduino beginner books in the mail last night...

Thanks guys! Terry, the tilt servos are HK939mg and the gyro is an old GWS PG-01NP... that I had laying around. Ya I'm liking the gyro on the tilt... but it's a little weird at first. Also going fast over rough terrain it really gets a workout. I may need to turn down the gain. I just set gain at half and drove, didn't try to tweak it at all. Contrast the Blizz vid.... with this one with no gyro... and "sorta" the same setup...

I hope so... I've been spammin.... errr posting... yeah thats it... posting this vid in a bunch of different forums... So I thought why not here... Video of my just completed... highly modified... Kyosho Blizzard... Don't mind some of the comments in the vid... ...they are there for folks that might not know much about FPV... since I also post about this machine on a Snowcat forum... not many folks there doing FPV... ... and there is a little surprise a few minutes into the vid... Sorry it's so long... I tried to make it interesting.... http://vimeo.com/37142114

Thanks for the suggestions Kilrah, Is this the one http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8538 you had in mind at the Glyn site? Ahhhh, ok... I have ordered 3 different displays... http://www.sparkfun.com/products/255 http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8538 http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10773 One of these should be suitable... I don't mind buying extra stuff.... I'll find a use for it somewhere....
