With 10 mW output, you can reach 100m with antenna fix, not moving, and without obstacle. For moving target, you will need to add 8 dbi receiver antenna. It's hard to get decent quality video with this stuff, camera is cheap too.

I would not touch the transmitter aerial as its hard to get it right without test gear. I would just recomend mounting the camera away from other wires, maybe under the wing.

I was thinking of using the GP patch for the receiver to extend range, what type of anntenna can I install/build for the trasmitter to get better range ?

GP patch antenna is exactly what I've thinking, it's a 8 dbi homemade antenna, it's easy to made and equivalent to patch antenna on the market.
