Camman question

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm interested in building the CamMan system, but I saw that pin 1 of the Pic needs Min 3.0 VDC, Max 6.5 VDC. I use a 8.4V battery pack, so can I power the pic with my 8.4V battery? Or should I remain using AAA battery?

You must use a voltage regulator if all that is available is 8.4V. But, I assume that you model's R/C gear is running at a lower voltage since it too would be damaged at 8.4V.

If this is an electric R/C model then the motor controller (ESC) has a BEC in it that provides the 5.0V for the servos and Rx. So, when you plug CamMan into the Rx you will get the required 5V.
