2.4Ghz R/C in the UK

I have just heard that the 2.4Ghz R/C gear is now legal in the UK with the full 100mW output and not restricted to the normal Euro 10mW. It will be interesting to see if the use of the 35Mhz and 40Mhz bands reduces.

I was wondering if this was 100mW only for spread-spectrum use?

Yes at the moment. There are proposals for more power to other users of the band eg broardband may go from 100mW to 10W :o

yes poor us radioamateurs !

well we can still TX 250 Watt on the 2.4GHz band 24/7

if we like !
