Wireless trainer cable?

Recommended Posts

I was thinking.. it'd be pretty cool if you could have a wireless trainer lead (use a maxstream or something with an encoder/decoder at either end). Then you could have someone take off with your plane while your on a hill or an area which isnt suitable for takeoff from.. then they'd be able to land as well, with you taking over as it gets into your sight.

Anyone ever seen anything like this?

Have the "remote buddy" transmit on one channel with his radio. Take a standard receiver on that channel, open it and grab the PPM stream at the demodulator's output, and feed that to your TX' input port. Have your TX transmit to the plane on another channel and you're done ;)

For the price  ... look closer ... no Twin HF Head to Buy !!!

Just a couple of ACT Receivers ... and the link !!!

why not use 433 Mhz ( or 868 MHz) FM modules ???

No weather station on the field !!! ( or I hope no ...)

Still a little bit pricey compared to taking a good old receiver that's laying in your drawer, and that will take you 10 mins to install ;)
