Newbie needs some directions

Recommended Posts

I'm reading the board for long time, but this is my first post.

I wonder if someone here could give me some directions for my project.

I want to drive 3 electronic potentiometers, 256 steps each, from a R/C receiver. Each potentiometer will be on a separate channel. I know that I could drive mechanical pots with servos, but I prefer the electronic pots solution. I'm not a technician, but I have a friend who could help me.

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance

I use an MCP42010 in one of my projects. It has a SPI interface. For those, you need a controller to measure the length of the pulses coming out of the receiver and talk to the digital potentiometers.

Perhaps there are other solutions that need less interfacing.
