Video Signal Detection in Electronics, How do we keep from getting bla

Recommended Posts

It seems more and more electronic equipment has video signal detection, TV's go to black screen, recorders stop recording etc etc. when the video signal cuts out for a split second. This is a huge problem for video from airplanes where we get constant fades and weak signals. My latest problem is an LCD TV that I am using for a monitor that goes to black on the first multipath, and takes a couple seconds for the picture to come back.

Is there any way to " Fool " electronic equipment into thinking its always getting a good video signal even when its not ? Would a time base corrector, or syncronizer in the video line fix this problem ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
