When using a separate battery for the video system on board the plane, does anyone know if there is any advantage to having the electrical grounds of both the flight system and the FPV system tied together?

I am using a small 3 cell lipo for the vid Tx and camera.

The main flight batt 3 cell lipo powers the RC Rx, (thru a 10amp BEC), flight servos and P&T servos, and of course the ESC and motor.

As a good rule, the more isolated things are from each other the better. So don't link the grounds unless you really have a reason to (like an OSD measuring main batt voltage, or the R/C RX controlling something on the video side).
