Trying Sony HD Webbie... can I run the 4.2v dc off receiver?

Recommended Posts

Quick question about running sony webbie directly off receiver. It pulls 4.2v, 0.33A. Should I directly connect it to receiver power or add a resistor?

Thanks in advance.

Ivan.

What's your receiver powered by? What kind of BEC (linear or switching), with what voltage output? What main battery voltage?

OK, then no. If your BEC is linear, from 3s, a constant 300-400mA load (plus the servos...) will almost certianly cause BEC overheating and shutdown, cutting power to everything.

If you really want to avoid using the camera's own battery, use a separate UBEC (switching) for the camera.
